Corporate Projects

University of Amsterdam Library

What was requested:
Transform an underutilized computer room into a flexible, multi use space, where students can study, attend classes, and work on projects, depending on the moment of the semester.

What was delivered:
Using the brand colors of the University, I revived the atmosphere of the room and brought brainstorming, collaboration and privacy options along with the flexibility and reconfiguration. I created a space that can work well as an individual settings, as well as a group or lecture setting. By adding corners of co-creation I gave the room a workshop feeling, that encourages students to use the space as they need.

Kuwait University Active Learning Center

What was requested:
Provide the Uni with an active learning environment, that would support Engineering Courses, but provide opportunities for teachers to practice and test problem-based learning. This space was thought not only within the boundaries of the classroom, and it included the corridor and front porch space, as additional learning spaces, where students could study alone or in groups.

What was delivered:
A tiered blended learning classroom, that provides students with a flexible environment that could be easily reconfigured, the possibility to learn digitally within the class, to brainstorm and collaborate easily with peers, and a mentoring space where students could be coached by the teacher. The front porch space and the corridor became active study spaces, for students to use before or after class to prepare themselves, alone or in groups. I looked into activating the beige corridor with unique graphics, that would attract students and make the space a modern place where students would like to meet.

Relaxation Room GBC Cluj

What was requested:
Create a space that employees could use to rejuvenate and relax when they need to, and where they could benefit from a weekly massage session.

What was delivered:
The room that I was given was initially planned as a storage room, where no natural light or air was provided. The biggest challenge was to find a theme that would relax the mind, through calm relaxing light, but properly vented so that people could benefit from the time there. I used an indirect light system, natural colors that reminded of a forest, and a uniquely designed wallpaper, that gave the impression of walking in a forest, with white noise of water stream. The furniture was simple, but homey, and allow only for 1 person to stretch and own the space.
